How To Save Money On Groceries
Look for sales in the store circular.
Circle the items you plan to purchase.
Create your menu for meals you want to make.
Make a list of items you buy on a regular basis such as: cereal, bread, milk, eggs, etc.
Know your store and coupon policies.
Stick to your list and only buy what you need. This can be very hard to do at times, but if you work at it, it can be done 🙂 Your grocery shopping trip will get done quicker, and you can be out the door! Easy peasy! 🙂
Don’t go grocery shopping on an empty stomach. You will want to buy more items.
Try generic products such as: flour, sugar, butter/margarine, baking soda, etc.
I prefer to use name brands (vs generic) for meats and chicken, it just tastes better (my opinion). I have cooked store bought chicken, and hamburger, and it just didn’t have much flavor to it.
Check for the unit prices on products.
You can use a store coupon and a manufacture coupon on 1 product! cha-ching = more savings!
Stop and Shop Supermarket has load-to-card offers.
It is FREE to sign-up! You type in your store savings card number, and you also create a password. Simple and easy.
Once you are logged in, click on the coupons tab. You can choose the products listed that you want and it will be merged to your discount card.
While you are at the store and purchasing the products you selected, you will see the discount shown on your receipt!’ Cha-Ching = More Savings! 🙂
